Treatment For Fear of Flying Is Available Worldwide

Individualized Treatment for Fear of Flying Is Now Available Wherever You Live:

Traveler’s Psychological Services

I am currently accepting new clients to my specialized practice providing treatment for Fear of Flying and Travel Anxiety.   If you, or someone you know, suffers from Fear of Flying (aviophobia) or other related phobias and anxieties, please visit Traveler’s Psychological Services to learn how my unique services may be the solution you are looking for.

Estimates are that up to 10% of the general population has travel related phobias, that are quite often misdiagnosed as classic Fear of Flying

I have been working with individuals who tend to self-diagnose their anxiety, generally incorrectly; or who have purchased online DVDs, books, and training programs that haven’t been fully helpful.  Sadly, many of these individuals drop out before their graduation flight, and become too discouraged to fly again.

“The Problem Isn’t That You Failed Treatment, It’s That Mismatched Treatment For Fear of Flying Failed You”

The problem with mismatched treatment:

Many individuals sign up for canned approach courses, frequently sponsored by local airports, that have a “one size fits all” approach using exposure therapy to treat classic Fear of Flying.

The problem is, many of them don’t have aviophobia, they have symptoms more related to agoraphobia (fear of panicking in places or situations they cannot escape), claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), acrophobia (fear of heights), or other related phobias.

Cognitive-Behavior Therapy vs Exposure Therapy:

Prolonged Exposure therapy is still considered the Gold Standard for treating phobias, I also have extensive training and background in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) which is ideally used in conjunction with exposure therapy, but when preformed skillfully and in the correct situations, can be just as effective without exposure.

I Will Do Whatever It Takes To Get You Flying:

What does that mean?  In the short term, I will come to your home, travel with you to the airport, fly sitting next to you, and then escort you to whatever family, career, or personal event needed.  And, of course, escort you back home.  For those looking to conquer their anxiety once and for all, I will come to your location: home, office, wherever. Anywhere. Worldwide.

What Sets Me Apart From Other Therapists Treating Fear of Flying Anxiety: I Know Flying.  I Know Travel.

I have flown an average of at least 50,000 miles a year for the past several years. Mostly just for fun.  I’ve flown in nearly every commercial airplane currently in use. I’ve been to six continents, with plans to visit Antarctica next year.  In June of 2018, I flew halfway around the world and back, mainly to enjoy flying in planes and on airlines I haven’t experienced before.

When you work with me, I don’t just provide treatment for fear of flying; I teach you to have more fun flying.  I have the real life experience with booking tickets, packing, airports, TSA, and airplanes themselves to help you remake a dreaded necessity into a wonderful hobby.  Or, at least make into something you don’t go out of your way to avoid.

If you, or someone you know, is terrified at the thought of flying, you owe it to yourself to see how I can get you flying, and enjoying travel.
